Health
Developments and impacts of an increasingly globalized world pose major challenges to the health of the populations of many countries and regions. Inequalities caused by international trade and investment, as well as the effects of climate change, are manifested as transnational influences of globalization that are beyond the control of individual states.
The international community of states as well as cross-national organizations are working on the implementation of a global health agenda that initiates multisectoral and multidisciplinary cooperation between different stakeholders with regard to health as a public good and recognizes the importance of systems and structures.
Thomasius-Stiftung implements and supports transnational projects that address global health-related challenges and implement everyday improvements with local stakeholders. These include changes in care structures and practice, the development and implementation of teaching programs, the professional qualification of employees in the health professions and their interprofessional cooperation, as well as the further development of methods to strengthen health literacy.
